1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern the use of services provided by Scrub & Shine Southwest Exterior Cleaning & Maintenance ("the Company", "we", "us"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Our registered address is Unit 41, Holly Court, St Modwen Road, Plymouth PL6 8LG.
2. Services
We provide exterior cleaning and maintenance services including but not limited to: pressure washing, roof cleaning, gutter cleaning and repair, softwashing, cladding cleaning, driveway and patio cleaning, solar panel cleaning, commercial cleaning, graffiti removal, bird mess removal and high-level cleaning. All services are subject to site assessment and quotation.
3. Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if site conditions differ materially from those described or assessed at the quotation stage.
4. Booking and Scheduling
Once you accept a quotation, we will schedule your work at a mutually agreed date and time. We aim to schedule most jobs within 3–5 working days. We will provide reasonable notice of our arrival time and communicate any delays promptly.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer, cash and card payments. For commercial contracts, payment terms of 14 or 30 days may be agreed in advance.
6. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel a booking at any time before work commences at no charge. If you cancel after work has commenced, you will be liable for the cost of work completed to that point. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule work due to adverse weather conditions or safety concerns — you will not be charged in such circumstances.
7. Access and Preparation
You are responsible for ensuring we have adequate access to the areas requiring cleaning. Vehicles, garden furniture and other moveable items should be cleared from work areas before our arrival. We will take reasonable care to protect surrounding areas but cannot accept liability for items left in the work zone.
8. Insurance and Liability
We carry £5 million public liability insurance. In the unlikely event of damage caused by our negligence, we will repair or compensate at our discretion. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, damage caused by underlying structural issues, or damage arising from conditions not disclosed at the quotation stage.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our work, please contact us within 48 hours of completion. We will return to address any reasonable concerns at no additional cost. This does not affect your statutory rights.
10. Health and Safety
All work is carried out in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations. We carry out risk assessments for all jobs. We may refuse to carry out work that we consider unsafe. We require that children and pets are kept away from active work areas.
11. Environmental Responsibility
We use biodegradable cleaning agents where possible and manage water run-off responsibly. We comply with all relevant environmental regulations regarding waste water and chemical use.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on scrubshinesw.co.uk — including text, images, logos and design — is the property of the Company and may not be reproduced without written permission.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
